Lockdown has been a testing time in so many ways. Expressing our feelings through all forms of art has been
a vital outlet for many in these difficult and challenging times. Here at HWM Designs we have created a sculpture
from steel and oak that reflects a Covid 19 virus being dealt with by a piranha fish. The piranha represents the triumph
of developing vaccines that are allowing us to to overcome the pandemic and this dreadful phase in our collective
history. The process of making a sculpture is incredibly theraputic and a great way to re-set your mind. This
sculpture is made from steel, Tig brazed using silicon bronze filler. The centre of the virus is made from a chared
oak sphere.
